Truecaller 12 Debuts for Android Users With Video Caller ID, Redesigned Interface
TrueCaller on Thursday launched version 12 of the caller ID application with a list of new features. One of the biggest additions is the arrivals of the video caller ID that allows users to set short videos that are rotated automatically when they call friends and family. TrueCaller 12 is also equipped with a redesigned interface that carries a separate tab for calls and SMS messages. TrueCaller also integrates call recording features to record incoming calls and exit. The updated truecaller also carries ghost calls and calls to announce features for paid users.
With the video caller ID, you can set a short video that will be rotated automatically when you call your phone’s book contact. You can record videos for caller ID or choose from the four previous loaded templates. You will also start viewing video callers from your phonebook and verified business calls.
You can manage your video caller ID and do you want to receive a video caller ID from the business and contact by getting into settings> Caller ID from the latest TrueCaller application. In particular, the video you set as a caller ID will be stored in Cloud TrueCaller.
The updated TrueCaller application also carries an efficient interface where you will have a separate tab for calls and SMS messages. It’s not like an interface where you have a home shortcut to access calls and truecallers for SMS.
With a separate tab, you can now get to all your SMS, TrueCaller group chat, and direct chat with just one knock, Swedish-based company said in a press release.
TrueCaller also said that TrueCaller for SMS has more than 15 crore users.
The new TrueCaller update also brought call recording, which was first introduced for premium users and recently launched for beta testing. Now available for all TrueCaller users – including paid and free – which has a telephone running on Android 5.1 or newer.
Recorded calls using TrueCaller stored locally on device storage and can be shared with others via email or using any messaging services. The call recording feature is available as optional and needs to be turned on manually from the latest TrueCaller application. Next, users can record voice calls either from the full screen or bring up the application caller ID interface.
TrueCaller also said in its release that callers would not be asked by notice of whether their calls were recorded using the application.
In addition to new features for all users, TrueCaller has increased the user experience separately for paid customers with ghost calls and calls to announce features. Ghost calls allow users to pretend to receive calls from their contacts.
You can set any name, number, or photo to make it look as if you get a call from that person using a ghost call feature. You can also choose contacts from your phonebook that you want to show as callers on your mobile. In addition, you can schedule a ghost call to appear on your mobile later.
