Delhi weekend curfew to stay for now, private offices allowed to open at 50% attendance
Delhi Lieutenant Governor (LG) Anil Baijal on Friday turned down the public authority’s proposal to lift end of the week check in time in the public capital following declining every day Covid-19 cases.
LG Anil Baijal proposed that “the norm be kept up with concerning end of the week check in time and opening of business sectors” in the city till the Covid-19 circumstance works on further.
With this, end of the week time limitation will stay in power from 10 am on Friday and till Monday 5 am.
He, notwithstanding, consented to the Delhi’s administration’s proposal to permit 50% participation in private workplaces, which had been arranged close recently because of rising Covid diseases.
Prior in the day, it was accounted for that the Delhi government had proposed lifting end of the week time limit, finishing the odd-even framework for opening of shops and permitting private workplaces to run with 50% staff in the city.
Boss Minister Arvind Kejriwal had approved the proposition and it was shipped off LG Anil Baijal for his endorsement. Notwithstanding, the LG said any choice on lifting the end of the week check in time could be taken once the Covid wave dies down further.
