India reports 1,07,474 fresh Covid-19 cases, 865 deaths in last 24 hours
Data updated the Ministry of Health Union on Sunday reported that India has recorded a one-day increase from 1,07,474 Covid-19 and 865 infections of death in the last 24 hours. This has prompted the calculation of the Covid Indian case to 4.21.88.138 and the victim died to 5,01,979.
The active case consists of 2.90% of the total infection, while the national recovery rate of Covid-19 has increased to 95.91%, the ministry said. Reduction of 1,06,637 cases have been recorded in Kaseload Covid-19 active in a 24-hour range
Meanwhile on Thursday, India crossed a gloomy milestone from 5 Lakh Covid-19 deaths, became the third country in the world to do so after the US and Brazil.
The country takes 217 days to reach 5 lakh deaths from 4 lakh recorded on July 1 last year, the longest time taken to record 1 lakh death. India was hit by a destructive second wave in April-May last year. The country’s death has crossed three lakh-mark on May 23 and two lakh-mark on April 27.
Toll Death passes one lakh on October 2, 2020. The total death has risen to 5,00,055 with 1,072 daily deaths, data of the Ministry of Health Union is updated at 8 am.
With more than 9.2 lakh death, the US has the highest number of deaths because of infection followed by Brazil with more than 6.3 lakh, according to the Worldometer, which has compiled global Covid-19 data.
India is currently facing the third wave of Covid driven by the omicron variant which highly transplants. However, according to experts, most will be light compared to the second wave.
The government on Thursday said the situation of the pandemic had improved and even though there were countries and districts that were a concern, overall there was a contraction in the spread of Covid-19 infection.
