Over Sedition Charge On Karnataka Minister, Congress Sleepover In Assembly
Bengaluru: Congress Legislator said they would spend the night in the Karnataka panel on Thursday, demanding the dismissal of the KS Eshwarappa Minister and an incitement case against him for his very controversial comments about replacing the national flag with Safron.
Congressman remained back to the assembly, even after being postponed for the next day protest by the opposition party legislator who stopped the process in both houses for the second day in a row.
Chairman of the Bukavaraj Bommai Minister, Speaker Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri, and former Head of BS Yediyurappa head then met with the opposition leader and the legislative party leader Siddaramaiiah in the assembly and held talks but there was no breakthrough.
“We tried to convince the opposition party leaders for about two hours. We told them not to sleep here in the Assembly. But they have decided. The speaker also tries to convince. We have tried their best but they do not agree. We will try to convince They are tomorrow, “Yediyurappa said.
Then, the leaders of Karnataka Congress, including the Head of the DK State Unit Shivakumar, seen dinner at the Canteen Assembly.
Previously, overcoming journalists outside the assembly, Siddaramaiiah accused BJP and his parents of his ideology Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) from not respecting the national flag, and said the Congress had decided to protest “day and night”, to take problems to “logical end”.
Noting that the governor, who is the constitutional chief, must intervene and give instructions for Eshwarappa’s dismissal, because his comment amounts to betrayal, he said: “The Main Minister also did not take action against Eshwarappa, RSS applied him hidden. Agenda through Eshwarappa.”
Meanwhile, Mr. Eshwarappa who challenged said there were no questions about him resigning for any reason, and he was a patriot who had gone to prison during the emergency period.
“Let them protest, I will not succumb,” he said, and demanded that the Head of State State for the DK Shivakumar State Congress to resign, accused him and his party ‘misused’ a national flag for protests.
The controversy erupted after Mr. Eshwarappa said last week that ‘Bhagwa Dhwaj’ (Saffron flag) could be a national flag in the future and may be raised from the red fortress.
He, however, said Tricolor was a national flag now, and it must be respected by everyone.
It seems to reserve controversial comments, said Minister of Bommai, previously last night protest that has occurred in the Assembly is for problems concerning people, farmers and the interests of the state, but this is a protest shouting at misinterpreting the statement.
“There is nothing wrong in Eshwarappa’s statement, it is not in his statement that opposes the law. When they (Congress) do not have other problems, they do this. For the first time without the reason for the overnight protest being held, this is not a responsible opposition sign. They are responsible. Feel they will get political mileage from him, but they are wrong, “he said.
The chair in the Assembly on Wednesday has rejected the motion of the congressional delay demanding the dismissal and case hasttion to Mr. Esharappa.
The last time the Karnataka Council saw the protest last night in July 2019 when the opposition leader Mr. Yediyurappa spent the night along with the BJP legislator to corner the Government of the Janata Secular Congress coalition dragged the atmosphere of trust
