‘The Vampire Diaries’ Is Not Leaving Netflix in March 2022
Vampire diary is expected to leave Netflix in the United States in March 2022 after serving since 2014 and coming to the end of the CW contract. With that, we have now received official confirmation from Netflix that this series will still be on our Netflix a little longer.
One of the most popular CW shows has been produced, Vampire’s diary adapting L. J. Smith’s books followed two vampire brothers who returned to their mystical homeland, where supernatural creatures lived between residents, and were obsessed with the same girl.
In accordance with the CW contract (which ended in 2019) shows in the US will remain on Netflix for five years after the last season was added.
The last season of the Vampire diary arrived at Netflix on March 18, 2017. That means five years will arrive. Therefore, the vampire diary is expected to depart Netflix in the United States on March 18, 2022.
When February 18 and 19 came, there was no notification of removal in the title. Fast forward a few days, Netflix does not include the title in the list of removal of the PR.
We reached Netflix who confirmed that this series was not because it left Netflix in March 2022 but noted that we had to oversee the list in the future for if and when it left.
Netflix does not expand why the show will not go away when it is expected to but it is unusual, especially with Warner Brothers and Paramount (previously ViaComCBs) who want to reclaim their own streaming licenses for their own streaming platform.
The departure will eventually see 171 episodes departing completely representing around 128 hours of content that will depart.
One scenario we want to emphasize every time we discuss the removal is that Netflix can update the show (or wrong removal prediction). There was Netflix which had previously renewed the show in the UK by going on November 2020 before returning a few months later.
Looks like Netflix managed to update the right to the series in Australia in the early 2022 also given throughout December it showed a notification of removal but finally did not produce results (something that could not be said to other areas that saw it removed).
Long-term, we still expect the show in the end deleted for the new home. Given the availability of performances internationally, you can almost guarantee that the show will lead exclusively for HBO Max. In Latin America and Europe, this performance is available exclusively on HBO Max.
Will The Originals leave Netflix?
The original is expected to finally leave the service also like another spin-off heritage. At that time it would be completely blown open with this deletion date not on the rock.
The original, with our calculations, had to leave Netflix in August 2023 while inheritance would not go until 2027 at the earliest start because it was still ongoing.
