Netflix Original ‘Carlo & Malik’ Leaving Netflix in April 2022
The Italian Series Carlo & Malik will soon leave for Netflix throughout the world (not including Netflix US and Italy) even though it becomes the original Netflix the second season has been produced.
Known as Nero Metà in Italy, the crime drama series saw veteran detectives facing his past when paired with a new rookie to investigate a series of high profile murder in the Italian capital, Rome.
Season 2 of Carlo & Malik never came to Netflix
This series was first aired in Rai 1 in Italy in November and December 2018 before Netflix got a series back in March 2019. This series is a shared production with Netflix in the end distributing serial globally (with the exception of the United States).
Season 1 then arrived at Netflix as native Netflix on March 23, 2019, and finally came to Netflix Italia (without Netflix Original Branding) in June 2019.
The second season aired in Rai 1 between September 2020 and October 2020 but never walked to Netflix. Well, it hasn’t arrived at Netflix internationally. Since it arrived at Netflix Italia where the show was not the original Netflix.
Now, many years after coming to Netflix exclusively, it is set to disappear without the second (or third season) that has ever arrived at Netflix. Season 1 of Carlo and Malik arranged to be removed from Netflix on April 1, 2022.
The reason why Netflix did not take the second season was not clear right now. The possibility of choosing not to produce a co-producing series that goes into season 2 but enough money is found to produce it exclusively only for RAI.
Where will Carlo & Malik stream next?
After the crime drama leaving Netflix, this series will not be available to drain SVOD services except elsewhere taking it. We have seen HBO Max expand their tracks from European content in lately having Disney +.
