Video Game Adaptations Coming Soon to Netflix
Netflix has hundreds of projects in development and for years we have seen the streaming services of some famous video games to develop TV shows and movies around. The following are 2022 guides updated for each video game adaptation coming soon for Netflix.
Video games for IP movies don’t always have the best reputation. However, in recent years, things have begun to change, thank you mostly to streaming services.
But Netflix isn’t standing still in the space and has already produced and acquired a number of video game projects thus far including:

Resident Evil
Type: Live-action TV Series
Created for television by the old supernatural manufacturer Andrew Dabb, Resident Evil is the upcoming Live Action Series based on the Capcom franchise with the same name. Similar to the film series studied by Paul WS Anderson starring Milla Jovovich, Netflix’s Resident Evil does not seem to be based on a long-match of Capcom franchise, but prefers to have his own story and interpret the world and its own character. method.
According to official synopsis, Resident Evil will take place in two timelines. Tekken: Bloodline
Type: Anime Series
Tekken is one of the most respected names in gambling and arranged to be adapted into an anime series on Netflix. There are 10 entries in the game franchise since the early 1990s and have been adapted into live-action films and even see the release of animated films in 2011.
Assassin’s Creed
Type: Live-action TV series + animated series
Live-action adaptation based on the recognized Creed Assassin franchise has been announced in October 2020 as part of the Ubisoft agreement as a whole with Netflix. Very few are known about this project, except that Jason Altman and Danielle Kreinik Ubisoft film will function as executive producers for the project. This series seems very early in the development process and may need a few moments before we hear something substantial. It should also note that according to Ubisoft’s agreement, this series will only be the first of many Assassin critic projects on Netflix.
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners
Type: Animated TV Series
Cyberpunk Cyberpunk Cyjekt Red which is highly anticipated has been developed since 2012 and will eventually release in November 2020 launching a new franchise similar to Witcher. The Witcher Game Creator works with black horse comics for adaptation of Cyberpunk’s comics and with Netflix for the animated series. The newly announced cyberpunk: Edgerunners is a limited animated series of 10 episodes and will be developed by the Studio Trigger (Live Witch Academia, PROMARE).
According to official synopsis, Edgerunners will tell the story of “Boy Street seeks to survive in the technology and modification of the body obsessed with the future body. Having everything to lose, he chose to stay alive by becoming Edgerunner – a mercenary criminal who is also known as Cyberpunk”. The animated series will have its own original character and not expected to overlap with Cyberpunk 2077 in the main way unless set in the same night city.
Tomb Raider
Type: Animated TV series
Lara Croft iconic will once again do an adventure where she will reveal the mystery and rob the tomb. Legendary Entertainment works with Netflix on the brand new Tomb Raider Anime series written by Witcher: Bloodwriter Tasha Huo. DJ2, a company that specializes in films and TV series with animation, will also work on Netflix’s Tomb Raider.
