After Queen Elizabeth’s Death, The Crown To Halt Shooting

The Royal Netflix The Crown drama is expected to stop shooting in its sixth season “because of respect” for Queen Elizabeth II, the longest king in England who died on Thursday. Queen Elizabeth II died in Balmoral Castle in Scotland after ruling for 70 years. He is 96 years old.
In an email statement for the entertainment portal deadline, Creator of Crown Peter Morgan said the event was a “love letter” for Queen Elizabeth.

“Crown is a love letter for him and I cannot be added for now, just silent and respectful. I hope we will stop shooting because of respect too,” Morgan said.

Morgan also wrote a script for the 2006 film The Queen, starring Helen Mirren as King.

He created a crown in 2016 with the first season after Elizabeth II young (Claire Foy) and initial days as queen. Actor Matt Smith plays her husband, Prince Philip.

After two seasons, Olivia Colman replaced Foy for season three and four shows, with Tobias Menzies taking the role of Prince Philip and Helena Bonham Carter as Margaret’s daughter.

The fifth season of the show, which is expected to be released on Netflix in November this year, will feature Imelda Staunth as Queen Elizabeth.
