A Month In Power, AAP Announces 300 Units Free Power To Every Punjab Home
Chandigarh: The AAM AADMI Party (AAP) party in Punjab today announced 300 free power units for each household from July 1, according to the State Department of Information and Public Relations.
The announcement came when the Bhagwant Mann-LED government in the state finished one month in the current office.
Indicates that the Punjab government can make this week’s announcement, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Tuesday said he would soon give “good news” to people in the state.
“Having an extraordinary meeting with our leader and Delhi CM Arvind KeRriwal. Very fast, will give good news to the Punjab people,” said Mr Mann in a tweet.
Giving free electricity to each household up to 300 units is one of the big promises made by AAP in the punjab assembly process.
While making an appointment, AAP Convener Minister Arvind Kejriwal said despite the production of surplus power in the state, long power cuts and many people get bills.
“There are many people in villages that get” wrong “bills and their strength connections are cut because non-payment and such people are forced to steal power,” Kejriwal said.
In Delhi, the AAP government provides 200 free power units per month.
Minister Punjab Bhagwant Mann last month announced the launch of the Delivery Scheme for the door threshold, which was also the main campaign agenda of AAP in the poll.
Earlier on March 19, Mr Mann, in the first decision of his first cabinet meeting, threw 25,000 jobs in various state government departments, including 10,000 in the police department.
In the Punjab poll last month, AAP destroyed the Congress, Shiromani Akali Dal-Bahujan Samaj Party Combine and Alliance BJP-Punjab Lok Congress-Sad (Sanyukt).
