Rafale project complete, India-France cement ties amidst global turmoil
On the day when the Three French Rafale fighters landed in India, the Minister of External Affairs Jaishankar delivered a speech at the Institute of France International relations about ‘How India saw France’.
“This world is today in the midst of several crises, including one in Europe. This happens to geopolitical backgrounds, geo-economic and deep technology. Extensive disturbances of pandemics have been sharpened, maybe even accelerating this trend. Taken together, this development has been produce new challenges with international order. We no longer have familiar comfort, “
“In response, all countries raise back priorities, strategies, relationships and even strategic geographies. We fight every day to adapt to rapid changes in the environment. Often, old assumptions must be reviewed,” he added.
Jaisankar said in the past two decades India has changed many relationships at the global level but Indian relations with France is one of the bridging generations. Through the commotion of our day, Indian relations with France continue to move forward with stable and clear courses. “This is a relationship that has been free of sudden shifting and surprises that we sometimes see in other cases. Indeed, this relationship continues to adapt to change and come out stronger for it,” he said.

With three aircraft delivery on Tuesday night, France had sent all 36 consignments with the last one handed over to India in France. The last fighters with all Indian special enhancements are expected to be sent next month.
