Best New Movies on Netflix This Week: March 6th, 2022

It’s been a busy week for new films on Netflix for the past week with the first month release that brings many new films to the platform. This is our Roundup of the 5 best new films added to Netflix in the US for the past seven days.

As usual, this list is only for the US. You can find our choice of films for Netflix UK, CA, and AU in our weekly roundup found through what’s new on Netflix Hub.

Next week has several extraordinary films marching for our Netflix including Adam, Dunkirk and London projects falling.

Let’s get into the best new movies on Netflix:

Beirut (2018)

Runtime: 109 min

Jon Hamm (is known for a crazy man) and Rosamund Pike (known for Gone Girl but also featured in the film Netflix, I really care) playing star in this political thriller released four years ago by Bleecker Street.

Added to Netflix in the US on Saturday, the film was arranged during the Lebanese Civil War with a former diplomat who returned to the service to save a colleague.

The Weekend Away (2022)

Director: Kim Farrant

Cast: Leighton Meester, Luke Norris, Christina Wolfe

Runtime: 89 min

One of Netflix’s own new new films this week was the weekend, a new film starring Leighton Meester.

The film saw you went with a couple on a weekend vacation to Croatia which made sense when they were wrapped in a plot of murder. When he tried to clear his name and reveal the truth, his efforts to explore a painful secret.

Reviews for New Netflix films from this week have been relatively mixed by critics and audiences. It held 5.6 on IMDB during publishing and 51 in metemic.

Gattaca (1997)

Awards: Nominated for 1 Oscar. 6 wins & 16 nominations total

One of the new films that came to Netflix in the first month was Gattaca epic sci-fi who did not get decent attention for now 25 years after being released.

The film is set in the future of Dystopian where Genetics determines your destiny. We follow a man born in a plot of limited prospects to escape from the status of the second citizen.

Margin Call (2011)

Cast: Zachary Quinto, Stanley Tucci, Kevin Spacey

Runtime: 107 min

Awards: Nominated for 1 Oscar. 8 wins & 24 nominations total

Additional the only first month that has the choice of coveted NYT critics for March 1 is the Margin Call, the extraordinary film from Lionsgate.

Set all night, we saw an analyst uncovering the upcoming chaos that would come down on Wall Street in 2008.

If you like a big short and haven’t seen this film, you lose.

American Girl (2021)
