iPhone 14 Pro Camera Upgrade Could Come With A Price Shock

Apple is ready to announce the next generation of iPhone at the “Far Far Out” event which is scheduled for a week from now. The September 7 event which is awaited is likely to be a place to launch four new iPhone models, including iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Max, and iPhone 14 Pro Max Top-end. In addition to refreshing Apple’s smartphone, this event can also see the debut of several other Apple products. The big change in the Apple iPhone strategy this time is the possibility of cancellation of Apple’s Small Mini-Smartphone iPhone.

Like every year, there are no lack of rumors related to iPhone in 2022. While we usually filter out too far (and impossible) rumors from doubtful sources, we heed trustworthy analysts with excellent track records. Take the famous analyst case, Ming-Chi Kuo, who has made predictions that are centered on apples as long as we can remember. Considering how accurately Ming-Chi Kuo in the past, everyone was interested in the upcoming Apple products paying attention to what he said in his tweet.

In this new Tweet Utas, Kuo made some interesting observations about camera settings on the iPhone 14 Pro lineup.

Improved ultra-wide camera to make the iPhone 14 Pro more expensive?

According to Kuo, Apple is likely to replace an ultra-wide camera in the iPhone 14 Pro series with a larger sensor. This sensor also offers a larger pixel size (1.4μm pixel) compared to the exit model, which has a pixel size of only 1.0μm. On paper, this must be translated into better low light sensitivity and reduction of noise levels. Although all this sounds good for the ability of the iPhone 14 lineup camera, this improvement can also increase the price of this phone. The main cause behind the increase in the future costs are three main camera components; On the utterance, Kuo refers to “CIS (image sensor), VCM (sound coil motor), and CCM (camera module) specifically. On the iPhone 14, each module has watched the price leap of “around 70%, 45%, and 40%, each,” according to Kuo.

Strange that might be heard, the same price increase does not seem to occur with the remaining camera systems on the iPhone 14 Pro. This is free from the fact that the iPhone 14 Pro series can display an increase in cameras on all boards. Primary wide angle sensor on the iPhone 14 Pro, for example, reportedly displays a 1/1.3 -inch sensor this year compared to a 1/1.65 -inch 1/1.65 -inch sensor on the iPhone 13 Pro model. This better sensor cost has not changed much despite several improvements.

With only one week left for the iPhone 14 series arrive, we don’t need to wait too long to see if Apple decided to pass the increase in the cost of an ultrawide sensor that was increased to consumers.
